Sharon York, who sings first alto, hails from San Antonio Texas, and has lived in Brownstown Township, MI, for the past 18 years. Sharon enjoys gourmet cooking, classic movies, and she is choir member at St Roch Catholic Church, although her time is mostly used to watch her children in their various activities and to keep up with her new puppy. Sharon has been married 23 years to Richard, a native of Brownstown Township and together they have three children: Amy, (husband Rob,) who's is married and lives in Arlington Va. and just made her a first-time Grandma, Peter, a graduate of Gabriel Richard High School and will be graduating from Xavier University, Cincinnati in May, and Kathryn, a senior at Gabriel Richard High School. Sharon is enjoying her eighth concert season with Seaway, and her seventh year of serving on the Board. Past positions on the board include Vice President, Production Manager, Librarian, and Secretary. |

This is Diane’s eighth season as a second soprano with the Seaway Chorale, her fourth year on the board. Before joining Seaway, she sang with various community choirs. Diane sang her first solo at age 6 and a soprano solo from Handel’s Messiah at 12. Diane is an alumnus of the Greenfield Village Schools in Dearborn. Diane and Rick, her husband of 41 years, have lived in Trenton for the past 9 years. She has two handsome sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, two ‘perfect’ grandchildren and three cats. She currently attends Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church where she sings with the choir. Diane has been working at Wolverine Advanced Materials for 23 years. When not singing or listening to music, she enjoys reading, crafts, going to the theatre, and practicing on her hammered dulcimer. |

Linda has been with Seaway Chorale on and off since 1999 when I joined for the first time. Linda has always enjoyed singing and have sung in church choirs and cantored for many years. As hobbies, Linda enjoys reading a good mystery, playing computer games, spending time with my 5 year old great niece. Linda also enjoys feeding birds and squirrels. Linda has one girl squirrel, who will actually come across the yard when I call to her. She then patiently waits till getting peanuts. She is a real sweetheart. |

Colleen Herman has participated in Seaway Chorale for the past 28 years, either as a singer or as a flutist. She has been on the Board of Governors for the past seven years. She received her BM from Western Michigan University and her MM from Wayne State University. Both degrees are in flute performance. She currently has a flute studio where she teaches privately, freelances, and adjudicates for the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association's (MSBOA) Solo and Ensemble festivals. Colleen also plays in a number of different symphonies as a substitute when needed. |

Dr. Donald Van Every, President of the Chorale, holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Education from the University of Michigan and a doctorate in Educational Administration from Wayne State University. He served 32 years in public education, including over five years as Superintendent of Schools in Riverview, Michigan. He has been involved in vocal music throughout his life, including spending several years as a music teacher in the public schools, singing in various community and church choirs, and serving as a soloist at many weddings and a few funerals. Currently Van Every is retired, but continues to be active in the music field. He is in his eleventh year as a bass in the Seaway Chorale and also is a cantor at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church in Woodhaven. |
